My daughter had been arrested and was scheduled to appear before a judge in Early Resolution Court in just two days. She had already been in jail for a week and had not yet been contacted by a public defender, even though she had requested one at her initial appearance. I was panicked that my daughter would not have legal representation on her court date. Some dear friends of mine told me to contact Julio Laboy. I told them I couldn't afford to hire a private attorney, but thankfully my friends insisted and I contact him immediately. I cannot express the relief I felt after talking with Julio. He was so kind and put my mind at ease by letting me know that he would help my daughter. He and his staff began making phone calls and getting information as soon as we got off the phone. I believe it was one of those phone calls by the Laboy Law Office that prompted the public defender to finally contact my daughter, and she was offered a plea deal. I conveyed the plea information to Julio and he said that it did sound like a good deal. Now, the remarkable part to this whole story is that Mr. Laboy had provided all of this help to me and my family, and had not even been paid one red cent yet!! Why would a well-known and highly respected attorney do that? Because he is a genuine and nice person who truly believes in helping others. He could have told me that my daughter would not receive adequate representation from a public defender so that we would hire him and I wouldn't have doubted it, but he didn't. In fact, Mr. Laboy didn't even ask how we planned to compensate him for the help his law firm had already provided to us, but there was no way I was going to take advantage of someone who was so ethical and honest. We worked out a fair dollar amount and parted ways. There are no words to express how absolutely blessed my family is to know Julio Laboy. My wife and I met Julio about 9 years ago at the park in our community. It was a blessing that we met Julio. I never thought I would need an attorney, but I called him right away when I did. My wife was in a accident with a Buckeye Police officer on a motorcycle in Verrado. She looked left and didn't see anyone coming, so she proceeded to make a right turn. The Buckeye Police officer came around the curve at a very high rate of speed and and collided with her at about 50 to 54 miles per hour. He said in the police report that he started braking when he came around the curve and seen my wife in her Jeep. Approximately 300 feet to brake and he still collided with her at about 50 to 54 miles per hour. Goodyear police investigated the crash and didn't put his speed in the report (They could have figured it out if they wanted too). Goodyear police also didn't interview the guys on the fire department, who came up to us at the accident and said he was going way too fast and should have never been driving like that. They were responding to the same call and they seen how fast the officer was going down the road. They also had a few other choice words I will not share. Goodyear police made an excuse why they didn't interview the fire fighters that didn't make any sense. We also had a witness in another car who said he was going between 80 and 90 mph down a 40 and around a curve with low visibility. The Goodyear police still gave my wife a misdemeanor ticket for failure to yield causing serious injuries. Julio went to work and discovered a lot of things that the police officer did wrong. Julio was able to get the charges dismissed after eight months of going back and forth. My wife and I have lost a lot of sleep over the accident and what we have been put through so far with the charges and the whole process. We also lost a lot of sleep worrying and praying for the Police Officer who was injured, and also his family. Thank you Julio for fighting for us against a stacked deck. Our daughter found herself in a great deal of legal (criminal) trouble and was likely facing jail time. Mr. Julio Laboy did a remarkable job representing our daughter! He advised her on what actions (drug rehab, counseling, halfway homes, drug and alcohol classes, etc.) that she needed to take to impress the state (prosecution) and the judge. After she strictly followed Mr. Laboy's wise recommendations, he was successful in negotiating a NO JAIL (only fines, probation, continued counseling, etc.) sentence for her. Today, our daughter is living a clean and sober life (outside of a correctional facility!) and putting her life back together step by step. I recently was charged with 4 different charges and went and saw many different lawyers. I truly love Laboy law and his awesome staff. I was looking at almost half a year in jail and numerous fines.
